Business Development Executive - Insurr

Are you an experienced BDM with a demonstrated track record of selling technology products to large enterprises, at the C level?

We are looking to grow the dynamic and global team at Insurr that is changing the way that insurance brokers search for and place specialty risks worldwide.

The Team

At Insurr, we are changing the way brokers work with specialty and niche markets.

What does that mean?

Let’s take a weird and wonderful hobby such as antique car collection or even a novel disruptive technology innovation such as 3-D printing or UAVs. Securing insurance coverage for these risks is not as simple as insuring your home or car.

The team at Insurr is hard at work making this process as easy as finding a flight online.

The Position

As a business development executive at Insurr, you are responsible for doing everything necessary to help us establish and strengthen key partnerships with specialty market providers and insurance brokerages. In this role, you will not only be executing our business development strategy but also helping to shape it.

Note that this position has the potential for tremendous growth and leadership opportunities as the organization scales and expands into new markets. We are looking for people excited to grow with us.

Deliverables: What you have to achieve

  • Develop and sustain sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers within insurance companies and key insurance brokerages
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and goals
  • Actively grow your product knowledge as our offerings evolve to better serve our ever-changing market
  • Keep informed of product line, competition and industry trends that may impact client requirements and our internal operations
  • Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the continuous development of the product

Requirements:

In this role, a candidate must be able to effectively engage prospects via phone, email and face-to-face to create new partner opportunities as well as to extend relationships with existing partners.

We are looking for:

  • You possess a highly professional presence and enjoy communicating with people all day, and can easily develop rapport
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You are an expert in combining a sales and customer success techniques
  • You are a proactive learner- willing to invest the time to understanding the product features and the insurance industry
  • You are an excellent problem solver. – know when to ask questions, demonstrate persistence, tenacity, ability to overcome obstacles, and handle objections and complex challenges without needing to be micro-managed
  • You have previous experience in the financial services industry or have been involved in selling and implementing software solutions
  • You are a team player- this role will directly impact the success of the team as a whole and will require effective communication and collaboration with other team members.
